1. Who we are and what this policy covers

This Privacy Policy explains how XALARA LLC (“XALARA,” “we,” “us” or “our”) handles information in connection with the Widger iOS application, its widgets, and the website at www.widger.app (together, the “Service”). XALARA LLC is the developer and operator of Widger and is responsible for the personal information described here.

2. Information we process

What Widger processes depends on the features you choose, the permissions you grant and whether you use sharing:

Photos and other content may be processed on your device. Content is transmitted only when needed to provide a feature you select, such as saving, backup or partner sharing. Please do not place sensitive personal information in a widget unless you are comfortable displaying or sharing it.

3. Website information

When you visit widger.app, our hosting systems may automatically receive standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, requested pages, timestamps and security logs. If you email us, we receive your email address and the content of your message. We use this information to deliver, secure and support the website and respond to you.

4. How we collect information

• From you when you create widgets, configure an account, share content, make choices or contact support.
• From your device through iOS permissions and app functionality you choose to enable.
• From Apple for App Store purchase status, entitlements, diagnostics and platform services.
• From a connected partner when that person sends content to a shared widget you have joined.

5. How we use information

We process information to:

• provide, personalize, synchronize and restore the Service;
• operate couple-sharing, reminders, weather and notifications;
• authenticate users and verify App Store entitlements;
• answer support, privacy and account requests;
• detect fraud, misuse, security incidents and technical errors;
• understand and improve performance and accessibility; and
• comply with law and enforce our Terms of Use.

Where applicable, our legal bases include performing our contract with you, your consent, our legitimate interests in operating and securing Widger, and compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier lawful processing.

6. When information is shared

We may disclose information only as needed to:

• share the content you select with the partner or recipient you choose;
• use Apple platform services, including the App Store, iCloud or CloudKit, notifications and device diagnostics where enabled;
• work with hosting, security, customer-support and infrastructure providers acting for us under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection duties;
• comply with law, valid legal process or protect rights, safety and the integrity of the Service; or
• complete a corporate transaction, subject to this Policy and applicable law.

We require service providers and other third parties that receive user data from us to provide the same or an equivalent level of protection described in this Policy. We do not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or track you across apps and websites owned by other companies for advertising.

7. Retention and deletion

On-device content remains until you remove it, reset the app or delete the app, subject to device backups you control. Account and synchronized content are retained while needed to provide the Service. When you delete content, close an account or submit a verified deletion request, we delete or de-identify associated personal information within 30 days unless a longer period is required for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, financial records or law. Residual copies may remain in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before normal deletion.

Support correspondence may be retained for up to 24 months so we can resolve recurring issues and document our response, unless law requires a different period.

8. Your choices and privacy rights

• Change Photos, Location and Notification permissions in iOS Settings at any time.
• Remove widget content or disconnect sharing using the controls available in Widger.
• Request access, correction, portability, objection, restriction or deletion where provided by law.
• Opt out of non-essential communications using the instructions in the message.

To make a privacy or deletion request, email [email protected] from the address associated with your account and describe your request. We may need to verify your identity. You may also appeal our response or contact your local data-protection authority.

9. Security and international transfers

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No system can guarantee absolute security. Because Widger may be operated using providers in more than one country, information may be processed outside your country of residence. Where required, we use recognized safeguards for international transfers.

10. Children

Widger is not directed to children under 13, or a higher minimum age where required by local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age. A parent or guardian who believes a child provided information may contact us to request its deletion.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy as Widger evolves. We will post the revised version here, change the “last updated” date and provide additional notice when required. Material changes apply prospectively.
